Frakari Kennels

From a young age, Kaki was surrounded by dogs-in her mother's kennel, home, and in the show ring-and now they are an essential part of her well-being as well as a great source of joy in her life. Raising, living with and competing with dogs is a vital part of who she is.

In 1967, Kaki's mother started using the "Frakari" prefix in her registrations. Throughout the 70's and 80's, she bred champion Schipperkes and Akitas. In 1982, Kaki began using the prefix for the AKC registrations of her Labs. In 2002, Robert and Kaki bought the upstate NY property...for the dogs!

Imbued with legacy, today Frakari is synonymous with healthy, happy, quality Labrador Retrievers for companions, performance and show. For Kaki and Frakari, it is a matter of stewardship—for the dogs and the breed—to ensure that the Labrador Retriever maintains its preeminence, and meets or exceeds breed standards for conformation, temperament and health. Frakari is registered with the AKC and Kaki has met the requirements for the AKC Breeder of Merit program.
